Questions asked will include:

  • What is my personal personality disposition towards conflict?
  • What do my psychometrics tell me?
  • Is this disposition helpful?
  • What competencies do I need to develop or enhance to be a masterful conflict manager?
    • Assertiveness
    • Active listening
    • Empathy
    • Process orientation
    • Negotiation skills
    • Emotional intelligence and self-awareness
    • Problem solving skills

The answers to these questions will set the tone and the content of the coaching engagement.

In a coaching engagement we can explore some of the underlying conflict issues in more depth, such as the extent to which our personal style might suppress healthy conflict in the team exchange of ideas, or how we might become more aware of what triggers our shadow, leading to uncharacteristic and below-par behaviour.

This approach is recommended for high value employees.

For a comprehensive approach, 5 sessions would be recommended.
